At Gumpro, we offer a wide range of high-quality treated poles to meet the needs of various building, construction, and fencing projects. Our treated poles are available in different sizes, lengths, and treatment options, including pressure-treated Copper Chrome Arsenic (CCA) and open bath Creosote methods, conforming to South African National Standard (SANS 457 & 1288) specifications.
CCA
A water-based preservative treatment which imparts a clean, green appearance to poles and is especially suited for use in buildings and urban structures. It can also be painted or stained as required. A wax-based additive – known as Weatherwood, is used to improve the repellence of water and inhibit cracking of tanalized poles, which also then carries a 25-year guarantee.
CREOSOTE
Creosote is an oil-based preservative, which imparts a black colour to poles. Due to its oiliness and strong odour, it is more suited to agricultural and industrial use for fencing, telephone and electricity poles.
